Interpublic

1. McCann Erickson

advertiser: Casa Do Menor
Advertising Agency: McCann Erickson

McCann Erickson used some similar campaign like the commercial against abused children by Saatchi & Saatchi. Sexual abuse among children is horrible and cannot be justified. Both ads give the same message, which is that children suffer from a sexual abuse experience. When that happens to a child, it’s hard, almost impossible to fully recover from that.

The tagline of the McCann Erickson ad “sexual abuse can be a heavy burden on children.
The tagline of Saatchi & Saatchi: Abused children can’t speak up!

2. The Martin Agency

Advertiser: The Martin Agency
Advertising Agency: The Martin Agency

This is an ad created by The Martin Agency to promote their own agency.

The tagline is: “Ad agencies are good at recycling ideas. Let’s get to work on everything else"

I understand what they are trying to say but they could have done a better job at it. The point they are trying to make is that other advertising agencies, copy ideas from other agencies or within their own agency, but from a different product. The Martin Agency doesn’t do that, they try to create a new and unique campaign for every single client they have.

But….

What is “EVERYTHING ELSE”???? This is the problem I have with this ad. How are individuals getting the point if we don’t really know what goes on among advertising agencies?

3. TM advertising ( don’t like the comment I made)

Advertiser: American Airlines
Advertising Agency: TM advertising, Dallas

American Airlines knows why we fly…. Pretty creepy! I’m not a big fan of American Airlines but with this ad they are saying that they want the best for their customers so that they feel comfortable and will become frequent flyers with American Airlines. Nowadays, people in the US travel by plane frequently because it is convenient and inexpensive

4. DraftFCB

Advertiser: Chips Ahoy
Advertising Agency: DraftFCB

Who doesn’t like Chips Ahoy? From the moment I saw the ad, I knew it was based on the movie: “Rocky”. DraftFCB tries to link the Chips Ahoy cookies to the same image they have about Rocky: a fighter, never gives up, aperosn who stands up for himself,….” This ad didn’t really work for me but I had fun watching it, so at least it caught my eye.

5. Lowe

Advertiser: Stella Artois
Advertising Agency: London & Toronto

Stella Artois isn’t just any kind of beer. It has a history of proud and respect among generations. This ad shows that life isn’t about winning or being the best, it’s about family and friends being together. Why wouldn’t you drink a Stella Artois while you’re doing that?

6. Carmichael Lynch

Advertiser: Harley Davidson
Advertising Agency: Carmichael Lynch, Minneapolis

Tagline: Harley-Davidson soundtrack. When you speed up you’ll start listening to it.

A Harley Davidson motorcycle isn’t just any motorcycle! It creates a new life for the driver from the moment he steps on the pedal. You’re in heaven from the moment you start the engine because the sound of a Harley Davidson gives you butterflies and it makes you feel like you’re reliving your childhood again.

7. Hill Holliday

Advertiser: Dunkin Donuts
Advertising Agency: Hill Holliday

Let’s speak Fritalian! Say what?

With this advertisement they are assuming American people are dumb and don’t know how to pronounce any of these words. Isn’t America the melting pot of different cultures? Why would Dunkin Donuts try to change it by trying to eliminate these cultural differences? I understand that donuts are an American thing but coffee comes from around the world, so why would you change the origin of it? DD is basically mocking with Starbucks because they use foreign names for their products offered. Not cool DD!

8. Deutsch

Advertiser: Tylenol
Advertising Agency: Deutsch

Just like any ad for a pain medicine, this is not any different. I know that it's hard to express pain relief by taking the medicine but maybe for once someone could be creative enough to do that. I can't wait for that day to come.

9. Mullen

Advertiser: CSX
Advertising Agency: Mullen, New York

A new CSX TV spot developed by Mullen emphasizes the fact that the CSX trains are using less fuel, which is better for the environment and will give the people for oxygen to breath in. The only sound you’ll hear during this ad is people taking deep breaths in different situations. I really like the idea of presenting this benefit to the people. Other agencies probably would have just mentioned those benefits but nothing else.

10. Campbell Mithun

Advertiser: partnership for a drug free America
Advertising Agency: Campbell Mithun, Minneapolis

Just like the advertising agency McKinney, Campbell Mithun is working together with the partnership of drug free America to make teenagers, adults aware of what drugs does for you. I like the fact that many agencies work on this account because it's something crucial and different agencies will see this problem in a different perspective. This means that the different agencies will also create different kind of ads in order to reach a more diverse population.

11. TAG S.F

Advertiser: xbox
Advertising Agency: TAG, San Fransisco

Even though this ad has nothing to do with the patato heads created by The Richards Group during the 2009 Superbowl, it was the first thing I had to think of. I really enjoyed this ad because it’s funny, but not foolish. It took a while to figure out what product was being advertised but in the end when the lips and the man were doing karaoke the copy explained everything. FYI, I Love this song!
