Advertiser: Science World
Advertising Agency: Rethink, Vancouver
Best ad for a science museum EVER
Science World is Vancouver's homage to science. Science World is not just for kids with a lot of imagination, adults can have fun there too. When I was younger, I loved going to Museums in Belgium because for some reason I imagined that something crazy would happen or that I went back to time. I know all of this sounds silly but the borderline is that I like this commercial. My favorite line in this commercial is "Ted, you old dog. How's that golf game? " It cracks me up every time I watch this commercial.
Apparently I'm not the only one that loves this commercial, it won bronze at the ad-awards.com last year
2. Droga 5

Advertiser: Unicef
Advertising Agency: Droga 5, New York
This map sets out the relative ‘risk status’ of more than hundred countries in terms of the proportion of the population that have access to safe drinking water and sanitation. UNICEF is trying to make people aware that even though we can complain about our environment, we should think about thousands/millions other people who don't even have access to safe drinking water.
3. Mother
Advertiser: Coca cola
Advertising Agency: Mother
Doesn't this ad just makes you happy... YeahYeahYeah LaLaLa, I love this ad. It reminds me of the happy factory of Coca Cola. They are trying to maintain their child friendly image among individuals. Coca Cola is product used by families and young adults.
4. Strawberry Frog
Advertiser: Heineken
Advertising Agency: Strawberry Frog
Imagine that you are at the register of the grocery store and you see the person in front of you buying the exact same things... how would you feel? Being Stalked? I didn't think this commercial would end with the other girl getting the opener, I thought it would end like a happy ever after movie. Heineken has a lot of good, enjoyable ads that give you a feeling of happiness.
5. Secret Weapon Marketing
Advertiser: Clear
Advertising Agency: Secret Weapon Marketing
In one of my previous blogs about Vodafone, where the man was tapdancing, I mentioned the fact that most of the time, companies will just mention that you can go online wherever you are, this is a perfect example of what I described in that blog. The ad looks pretty but basically they could have just said that you can go online wherever you are. Why would you spend that much money on a 30sec ad if you could have done it in 1 sentence?
6.Wongdoody
Advertiser: Gamefly
Advertising agency: Wongdoody
Do you remember how the people reacted when Burgerking stopped selling the Whopper for one day during their campaign? Doesn't this remind you of that? I think it does....
7. AMV/BBDO
Advertiser: The Economist
Advertising Agency: AMV/BBDO, London
The economist has a lot of good print ads , but this is the first TV commercial I've seen of the economist. At home(Belgium) we say that " The red line will guide you through the book". This is translated literally, and I've no clue whether they say this is America or not but it's funny to apply it to this ad. The economist is a newspaper that guides people through things that happen in the world.
8. Jung Von Matt
Advertiser: V&S Vin & spirit
Advertising Agency: Jung Von Matt, Sweden
Brand Name: Absolute Vodka
The title of this video is calles Absolute Vodka
Absolut Vodka = TWBA
so what's the deal? Honestly, I'm not completely sure what this is about? I mean I know it's about mixing drinks with vodka but Absolute Vodka is hold by TBWA not Jung Von Matt..
